The first line of defense against two invasive species carried across the Nevada-Idaho border on boats will become a little more permanent.

Twin Falls County will lease a trailer from Mid-Snake Resource Conservation and Development to hold boat inspections a mile north of the border, Twin Falls County commissioners said last week.
